Official: NIOS October–November 2026 theory date sheet — exams 22 October to 7 December 2026

NIOS Notification 63/2026 dated 8 October 2026 ↗ carries the date sheet for the October 2026 theory examinations, Secondary and Senior Secondary. Papers run from 22 October 2026 to 7 December 2026, every paper starting at 2:30 PM with 15 minutes to read the question paper first. The notification states there will be no change in the examination dates. Download your Intimation-cum-Hall Ticket from the SDMIS portal; it generates only if your exam fee is paid and your photograph is on record. Step-by-step: hall ticket and exam day.

Closed: NIOS Stream 1 Block I admission ended on 30 September 2026

NIOS Notification 30/2026 dated 15 September 2026 ↗ set the last date for online admission to Stream 1 Block I, session 2026-27 (April 2027 exam), as 30 September 2026. That date has passed and no further extension has been notified. Checked on 1 October 2026: Block I admission for 2026-27 is closed, and the portal has moved to Block II.

Block II is open: NIOS Stream 1 now shows “OCT. 2027” on the official portal

Re-checked on 15 October 2026: the official SDMIS portal lists the Stream 1 academic session as Stream 1 (OCT. 2027) — that is Block II of session 2026-27. The official NIOS Academic Prospectus 2026-27 gives the Block II window as 16 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, with the first public examination in September–October 2027. Normal fee applies up to 31 January 2027; late fees of ₹260, ₹520 and ₹910 apply in the three windows that follow, up to 15 March 2027.
