Official: NIOS October–November 2026 theory date sheet — exams 22 October to 7 December 2026
NIOS issued the date sheet on 8 October 2026 in Notification 63/2026 ↗. The Secondary and Senior Secondary theory examinations run from 22 October 2026 to 7 December 2026. Every paper starts at 2:30 PM, with 15 minutes to read the question paper first, and the notification states there will be no change in the examination dates. Download the Intimation-cum-Hall Ticket from the SDMIS portal — it generates only if your October 2026 exam fee is paid and your photograph is on record. NIOS Notification 30/2026 dated 15 September 2026 ↗ set the last date for online admission to Stream 1 Block I, session 2026-27 (April 2027 exam), as 30 September 2026. That date has passed and no further extension has been notified. Checked on 1 October 2026: Block I admission for 2026-27 is closed, and the portal has moved to Block II.

Re-checked on 15 October 2026: the official SDMIS portal lists the Stream 1 academic session as Stream 1 (OCT. 2027) — that is Block II of session 2026-27. The official NIOS Academic Prospectus 2026-27 gives the Block II window as 16 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, with the first public examination in September–October 2027. Normal fee applies up to 31 January 2027; late fees of ₹260, ₹520 and ₹910 apply in the three windows that follow, up to 15 March 2027.

Checked on the official results portal on 15 October 2026. For the April 2026 On-Demand Examination session, Senior Secondary results were declared on 2 October 2026 (exams 1-15 August 2026) and on 9 October 2026 (exams 16-31 August 2026), and Secondary on 6 October 2026. Earlier in the session, Senior Secondary was listed on 5 August and Secondary on 14 August 2026.
